Science on the Square: Wisconsin Veterans Museum

Friday10/225:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The Wisconsin Veterans Museum will offer STEM for kids during Science on the Square!

All programs are free and everyone is encouraged to attend:

Penny Battery (Electrochemistry) – Discover how the process of corrosion can create usable energy. Students will build their own penny battery and watch as it powers small lights.

Reflection: How a Periscope Works – From tanks to submarines, almost all military vehicles employ a periscope system. Students will learn about how reflection of light allows us to see through periscopes and have a chance to build their own periscope.

Dress-Up Station – Uniforms throughout Wisconsin’s military history will be available for the younger children to try on. This will be a great photo spot for the parents!
