How can a crabapple tree be a weapon in the fight against climate change? Stop by this booth at the Superior Downtown Farmer’s Market to try out some hands-on activities that help answer this question. Staff from the LEAF K-12 Forestry Education Program will be on hand with tools like infrared thermometers and carbon sequestration measurement tapes that marketgoers can use to explore the benefits of street trees. We will also have information and resources related to planting edible forests. There will be fun things to do for both children and adults! No registration is required for this drop-in exhibit.

This is one of a series of events offered by the Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education at UW-Stevens Point in partnership with the Wisconsin Science Festival. Check out more events from the Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education here!
