Festival Feature

And the 2025 festival feature is…

What is a festival feature?

The Wisconsin Science Festival welcomes all disciplines utilizing science, technology, or art to explore and nurture curiosity. Each year, we spotlight a specific topic to emphasize its significance and value to the state and its people. Events related to the feature are not required for participation!

In 2025, we are highlighting Rock & Roll! This special, 15th anniversary feature is really three features in one: music, motion, and the geology that shapes Wisconsin. This festival feature aims to engage audiences of all ages by blending earth science, physics, and music, creating a dynamic, interactive, and appealing way for kids, families, and lifelong learners to explore science!

Examples of events that feature Rock & Roll include walking tours of Wisconsin’s geological landscape, exploring the science behind how we hear music, bowling events digging into all the physics behind a strike, rock and mineral showcases from local clubs, curling demos, guest lectures from experts in physics, geology, and music, and more! As a reminder, events related to the feature are not required for participation. If you are curious to learn more about ways to connect your event to the feature, you are always welcome to reach out to our team at info@wiscifest.org.
