Families of homeschool children ages 3-13 are welcome to join us at Prescott Public Library on Thursday, October 15th, as we welcome Bahaar Chawla, a geneticist from the University of Michigan, who will be discussing her research with us! From there, we will have a storytime with books related to the theme of genetics and DNA as well as a DNA extraction lab.

This program is part of the Homeschoolers’ Hub series, which meets every third Thursday from September to May at Prescott Public Library from 2-3 PM CST. Don’t miss this program and many others scheduled for this fall, including:

• Alyssa Sargent, a behavioral ecophysicist from University of Washington, who will be discussing hummingbird flight mechanics on November 19th
• Erin Truesdell, a computer scientist from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, who will be discussing video game development on December 17th
