Join the Minocqua Public Library for the Wisconsin Science Festival Bioblitz 2025!

What is a Bioblitz?

A Bioblitz is an activity that measures biodiversity within a set time and space.

From sunrise Thursday, Oct. 16 to sunset on Sunday, Oct. 26, help contribute to local research by taking note of what living things you see around you (and have fun and get outdoors in the process)!

How to participate

Download the iNaturalist app on your mobile device. Then, find the Wisconsin Science Festival Bioblitz 2025 project on the app. Start taking photos of your finds to contribute!
OR
Pick up a paper observation sheet(s) from the library and document your findings by pencil/pen. Return your sheet(s) to the library to have them counted towards the project!

Participate for an hour, a day, or for the whole ‘Blitz! Document your findings from anywhere in Wisconsin.

Learn more about the BioBlitz and find links to the Wisconsin Science Festival project on iNaturalist and download the BioBlitz worksheet and activity booklet at wiscifest.org/bioblitz!
