SUMMARY:Forest Products Week Tour: Priority Timberlands
DESCRIPTION:Priority Timberlands is a family tree farm led by Ross Prior\, the Wisconsin Tree Farmer of the Year in 2024. His company is made up of three properties\, The Pines\, The Oaks\, and The Hardwoods. This tour will be of the red pine plantation that is managed for utility pole production. The property is currently being marked for a timber sale\, and you’ll learn from both the landowner and the purchasing mill industrial forester about how the forest is managed and harvested for utility poles. \nRegistration is required.
