Water Bear Resilience Corn Maze at Treinen Farm

Sunday10/189:00 am - 8:00 pm

Tickets are by reservation only and can be purchased at: https://treinenfarm.com/plan-your-visit-2020/#GETTICKETS

Part art installation, part outdoor game, part social experiment, the Treinen Farm corn mazes are designed and cut by entirely by us right here at the farm. Each year we pick a theme and create an entire experience around it. For 2020, we have chosen the water bear — these tiny creatures are incredibly tough and resilient (just like we all need to be in 2020, right?)

Also known as “moss piglets,” water bears are tardigrades, and they are not only adorable — they are also one of the world’s most resilient animals. They can survive in extreme temperatures, very dry and very wet environments, high levels of radiation, and have even handled the vacuum of outer space.

Visit us to complete a series of challenges in the 15 acre water bear corn maze — and learn more about these tiny creatures. You can also try out the “Corvids Not Covid” ½ acre Children’s Maze, enjoy the slide adventure area, Tractor Tire Playground, and walk in the wilderness exploration area. New this year is a scenic overlook at our limestone bluff prairie restoration.

For COVID safety, we have timed ticketing and reservations to prevent crowding. Please see our website for event details and safety rules before you purchase tickets.
