VIRTUAL FIELD TRIP: Exploring a Climate Change Solution Through Solar Dashboard Data

Friday10/229:30 am - 10:15 am

VIRTUAL FIELD TRIP: Register Here

Have you wondered about the carbon footprint of schools? Do you think your school is energy efficient or needs to take action to reduce energy usage?

Explore how some Wisconsin schools are part of climate change solutions. During this virtual field trip from the KEEP program at UW-Stevens Point, you’ll explore data trends of energy usage in schools, and then take a deeper dive into exploring data from solar dashboards on Wisconsin schools. If your school has a solar dashboard, you’ll get to share the link in the chat and we’ll all explore it together.

This workshop will also highlight opportunities for middle and high school students to be directly engaged with their school community for measuring building energy usage and making a plan to make your school more efficient. Participants do NOT need to have access to a solar array and dashboard at their school to participate in this field trip.

TEACHERS! ALSO CHECK OUT KIDWIND EDUCATOR WORKSHOPS SEP. 18 AND OCT. 21.
