Pre-Festival Event: Partial Solar Eclipse at the Capitol

Join the UW-Madison Department of Astronomy outside of the West Entrance of the State Captiol in downtown Madison on October 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to view the partial solar eclipse. We will have solar telescopes and other ways to view the eclipse, as well as local astronomers to answer your questions about the cosmos! Eclipse glasses will be available ($2 suggested cash donation, limit one per family/group) while supplies last!

NOTE: DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE SUN, EVEN DURING THE ECLIPSE, WITHOUT PROPER SAFETY EQUIPMENT.
