Thursday10/278:00 am - 8:00 pm

Friday10/288:00 am - 8:00 pm

Saturday10/298:00 am - 8:00 pm

Sunday10/308:00 am - 8:00 pm

This fun (and easy to prepare) experiment will help you explore the physics of quicksand! And the only materials needed are some cornstarch and a little bit of water.

Our guided experiment will give you a tour through the process of science (better known as the scientific method) and will allow you to think critically about how we know what we know in science. In this experiment you will be learning about non-Newtonian fluids, a fluid whose hardness changes depending on how you apply pressure. This activity will allow you to make a non-Newtonian fluid and make observations and predictions just like a professional scientist! By the end, you’ll be able to say you understand the physics with how quicksand moves!

Before beginning this experiment, please check with a responsible adult.
