Butterfly Pinning

Get hands-on with the Cable Natural History Museum’s curator as we learn how to prepare a butterfly specimen like a pro. Explore the museum’s pinned insect collection as we discuss both scientific and artistic approaches to preserving butterflies. Then, pin and label a display-ready butterfly to take with you!

Class is from 2-3 p.m. Participants must be age 10 and up and accompanied by an adult if under age 13. Space is limited. Register by October 19. Go to cablemuseum.org or call the Cable Natural History Museum at 715-798-3890 to register. $20 member/$25 non-member.
